The fewer sunspots the more clouds, the more clouds the less sunlight reaches the ground, the cooler the Earth.

Generally, though, it was thought that the solar minimum, with a dearth of sunspots, meant colder temps. Might even be responsible for this year&#039;s unusually cold and snowy winter.</description>

Yay! There must have been 5 sunspots in the last week or so. 
Making my prediction solid. 
Next year (2011) Al Gore will be bleating about the coming ice age just in time for the planet to start warming. 
Wherever he goes it&#039;ll be much warmer than usual. 
Because Gaia hates Al Gore.</description>
